Conducting the National Philharmonic Orchestra Charles Gerhardt along with Producer George Korngold (son of Erich Wolfgang) was probably the first to realize that people wanted to hear the music from their favorite classic movies and proved so in the 1970s with a popular series of scores by the old Hollywood masters.
